Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026 · Compliant with Canada's PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25 (Act 64).

1. Introduction

Maxvify ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of all visitors, subscribers and resellers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights under Canadian federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Law 25 (Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information).

By using the Maxvify website or services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account and subscription data: When you subscribe or request a trial, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and device MAC address required for IBO Player activation.

Payment data: Payment transactions are processed through secure third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal, Interac). Maxvify does not store complete credit card numbers or banking credentials on our servers.

Technical data: We collect standard web analytics data (pages visited, time on site, referrer source, browser type, approximate geolocation by IP) for service improvement. This data is anonymized and aggregated wherever possible.

Communications: If you contact us via WhatsApp, email or our contact form, we retain those communications to provide support and improve our service quality.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To activate and manage your Maxvify subscription
  • To provide 24/7 bilingual customer support
  • To send transactional emails (activation confirmations, renewal reminders)
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse or unauthorized access
  • To improve our service, website performance and content catalogue
  • To comply with applicable Canadian law or legal obligations

We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party for their marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only with:

  • IBO Player platform: Your MAC address and Device Key are shared with IBO's activation servers to link your subscription. This is a technical necessity for service delivery.
  • Payment processors: Stripe, PayPal and financial institutions for transaction processing.
  • Email service provider: Resend (EU/US) for transactional emails, under a data processing agreement.
  • Law enforcement: If required by a valid Canadian legal order, court order or subpoena.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the service and as required by Canadian tax and business record-keeping law (minimum 7 years for financial records). Inactive accounts (no subscription activity for 24+ months) are anonymized on request.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses essential cookies for session management and security. We use first-party analytics (no Google Analytics by default) to understand website traffic. You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings without affecting core site functionality.

7. Your Rights (PIPEDA & Law 25)

Under Canadian and Quebec privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing
  • Be informed of any data breach affecting your personal information within 72 hours
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC)

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected] or WhatsApp +1 514 447 7860.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures: TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest, access controls and audit logging. No internet-based system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to prompt disclosure of any confirmed breach.

9. International Transfers

Some service providers (Resend, Stripe) process data outside Canada. When this occurs, we ensure equivalent privacy protections are in place through contractual safeguards and data processing agreements.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
